123-reg were hosting, thought so: they're on my list of the two worst service providers going, along with Fasthosts!

Hmmm... 123-reg... They're not a hoster -- not at MySQL PHP level anyway. Webfussion are the hosters within the group -- and I've always found them to be very good.
They seem to be one and the same, this from Guthrum's link:
"[Devil's Kitchen's] political customers and migrating them to a new server. These plans have accelerated owing to a MySQL issue with 123-Reg that has caused some downtime with the migrating clients."
"tracert lpuk.org" shows the machine is hosted at 123-serv.co.uk (ex-123-reg), which takes the investigative trail ultimately to Webfusion
Not exactly sure what the relationship is there but I do know that 123-reg (spin-off of Pipex) are the Devil's work (as it were :D)

unrelated topic but I can't post directly to the blog...
Is anyone attending the Convention on Modern Liberty on the 28th of Feb? They've an impressive list of speakers lined up, and there would be ample opportunity for anti-government ranting
I believe there's a good few of us heading there. Me amongst them.
I cant afford the convention Im currently enjoying Incapacity benefit but enjoying is perhaps the wrong word
