The election is drawing ever nearer, the hot money is now on October 2009.
We urgently need to raise £10 000 to support our candidates, that is merely the equivalent of £12.50 per paid up member ! Please give £15 out of your May or June paypacket to make this happen, it will be going into a designated Election Fund
The artwork and text for the leaflets is done and paid for.
Rob Waller and myself are updating the database so that we can start putting out monthly newsletters and appeals letters.
If you can spare more please give more, if you are unemployed,an OAP or Student and cash is beyond tight, give that other form of capital your time, it is just as valuable
UPDATE
Thanks to everybody who responded with Donations this afternoon, absolutely brilliant start.
I hope to have a widget up soon showing money as it comes in

Perhaps you shopuld do a Geldof video - "give me f*****g money" was the wuote IIRC.
PS Is it a coincidence that the word verification is whine?
My way of donating to the party is to buy a couple of bits from the new shop (which is rather exciting to be honest!)
As far as time goes, I'm happy to help out the candidate running in Leeds West.
He can email me at demetrioujohn@gmail.com
Good luck guys.
I have no doubt that LPUK can take off where other minority parties have failed, because they are not grounded on any tangible political base or philosphy.
Libertarians aren't strapped to a dogma, but we have hundreds of years of political philosophy backing us up.
What do UKIP, BNP, English Democrats et al have? Nothing. Just knee jerk stupidity.
And another thing. Loser, weirdo parties constantly parrot that like about 'Lib Lab Con'. 'It's a Lib Lab Con'.
Well, that phrase is well tainted now and I associate it with desperados and freaks.
I far prefer the phrase 'the big three'. It provides a sinister overtone and encourages that old British trait - the love of the underdog. Which is us.
Bring on the LPUK
I shall my house to donate!! Oh... no I dont have one...
I'll do what I can, but I think your maths is a bit off. Last I heard, our membership was in four figures, so it should come to much less than #12.50 per member. Not that it makes a practical difference, we need to raise as much as possible.
