What to make of this?

Something isn't quite right here. I would like your thoughts on this one.

This is not new, the bank I joined in 1999, outsourced a lot of the coding to a company owned by their then Head of Global IT. Who then imported programmers from India. In fact so much so, the 3rd floor of the office in Cheapside was known as 'Little Calcutta' or 'xx-xxxx's Sweat-Shop'

When talking to these guys, their wages were a fraction of what good British programmers were getting, but a fortune to them, and they were all living in a 'hostel' type place in North London also provided by the same outsourcing company.

These are the two latest examples of how outsourcing and offshoring UK jobs has run out of control.

Out of who's control?

Unfortunately, there seems to be an increasing trend towards this kind of 'outskilling', where UK workers are being supplanted by cheap imports.

Wait a minute aren't they discussing 2 different aspects of employment: skill and cost?

All in all traditional DailyWail type of stuff - brown people stealing our jobs; mixed in with a concession that maybe, just maybe, they can do it better and for less money than conceited British workers with an inflated sense of self-importance.
