Did anyone have cause to watch the most recent You Have Been Watching? Christopher Brooker made some rather disparaging remarks at the start about Master Hannan- tithead.

Damn good point he makes, that is up to the point he infers the American forefathers were Bory's- someone really needs to have that conversation with him.

Yes. He's a funny old chap. I think you have to understand his agenda, he's fighting for the soul of the UK Conservatives, in his own words he wants to "repatriate the revolution". UK conservatives are not like US conservatives however, because the UK was not founded on liberal principles, it was founded on the precise opposite. Basically the man thinks he can rewrite history. Nah, he can't. Worse - that conservative "prejudices are true" quote was plain imbecilic. I assumed for a moment that Scruton was being sarcastic!?

In his speech to the "Army & Navy Club" Hannan mentions the debt run up during World War 2 and then conveniently FORGETS the debts incurred in Afghanistan and Iraq. He needs to remove his nose from the arse of the Military Industrial Complex.
