This was my reaction to Lynne Featherstone's daft idea of NI number only CVs. If companies realise this means they recruit better talent, bypassing the bias of hiring personnel*, then they will adopt this mechanism without legislation or Government intervention by their own free will. All that is needed is for some court to rule that you cannot sue IF someone uses NI-only recruiting.

What is odd is that this may well play havoc with "diversity quotas"...and so another layer, another distortion to correct the correction.



* actually you only bypass personnel racism or favouritism, for the interviewer may apply their own, so all you cure is HR bias.
