Great Day at LPUK AGM

Well we had a great day at the AGM.

We've elected a very new, but experienced NCC.

Notable appointments include Chris Mounsey as Leader. Clr Gavin Webb as Communications director. And Greg Beaman (Ex-Clr) as Chairman.

Andrew Withers and Tim Carpenter maintain their respective roles.

Thanks must also go to Ian PJ who stepped down as leader -- he put in a lot of hard work on behalf of the party.

And finally thanks to all those who turned up, you made it a most enjoyable day.

Ian, thank you for all your hard work and efforts in getting the Libertarian movement on its feet and uniting under the LPUK banner.

Congratulations to Chris, Gavin and Greg, I'm sure their experience and vision will be invaluable to the party, the only way is onwards and upwards!

I am truly proud that the UK finally has a Libertarian Party, the only party standing up for liberty and freedom.

I think we all understand that we are in it for the long haul, it will not be easy and the chances of us seeing a Libertarian government in our lifetimes is slim.

But it is truly inspiring that we are individuals of principle, and whilst it would be far easier for us to cling on to conservative/libdem/ukip bandwagons, we remain true to the ideals of liberty.

So will LPUK make swearing compulsory? :-)

Good luck guys and thanks to the outgoing administration for all their efforts.

I hope we will see LPUK making its presence felt more and more as time goes on.

Congratulations Chris, Gavin and Greg; I'm sure you will take this party forwards, starting with this general election.

Shame I couldn't be there at the AGM.

Congrats to all of you. Although I am worried that I might be losing my favorite graphic designer to politics.

Thus let the angry young man build by his zeal on that which the old one began with his wisdom.
