As we all accept that need to make savings why don’t we ever hear a discussion about cuts in our EU budget in the MSM? Why is it always nurses and teachers and police and defence?

The msm know the govt has no control over it, that is why.
FUD. Tell the proles that their precious schools and hospitals will need to be cut and they will oppose it. It's just scaremongering to maintain government spending.
Any business person worth their salt could lop 30% off of the public spending budget with zero effect on service delivery.
