Thought for the day

Taxing the productive to pay for the unproductive is like refusing to play Wayne Rooney so eveyone else can have a game.

The important thing to remember is that all taxes get "passed on".

While the rich man is the nominally the biggest taxpayer, all that taxing him really does is:

i. hike prices for customers.
ii. depress wages for workers.
iii. make an otherwise profitable business a non-starter.

It is worth pointing out that many very wealthy oligarghs are big "tax advocates".

Taxes help to crush smaller competitiors and raise funds for various boondoggles.
