Fresh from the bearpit that was 'The Big Question' on BBC last Sunday (available on BBC iPlayer) Chris Mounsey is on the Daily Politics Show tomorrow Wednesday 14th.
Hopefully there will not be a member of the medical profession on the programme as per last Sunday who said 'I'm a Libertarian too, but I want everything banned' (paraphrasing a bit there I know)
Chris will be putting forward the proposition that the State should get out of our lives.

Looking forward to it!
I haven't yet got past the introduction of the Labour Party Manifesto 2010, but a couple of sentences seemed to sum up their attitude:
"We are proud of our country and the way it has changed since 1997.
...
We changed our country because we rejected the philosophy of the 1980s which said that government should just get out of the way"
Incredible.
I've just heard that CM has resigned? http://twitter.com/devilskitchen/status/12157728291
Resignation offered, not accepted.
Note how Andrew Neil played the man not the ball, and further, asked for a retraction without asking WHY such language was used.
Ouch indeed:

It was disappointing to see Andrew Neil destroy the segment in this way, but in retrospect I suppose I should have expected it.
I personally enjoy the Devil's rants — there's plenty of insight mixed with the obscenity — but I have no doubt that the tone will put many potential allies off, and for that reason I link to his posts less often than I would like.
A friend once said:
"What's needed is for libertarians to stop whining and instead produce a useful language of liberty to win power in a democratic society. Obo/DK et al with their swearblogging are not it."
There will always be an Andrew Neil, or worse, waiting to pounce. We need to give our enemies as little ammunition as possible if we are to focus the debate on ideology, rather than personality.
It wasn't pretty...
but it's a wake up call if anything.

Undoubtedly true, but at the moment at least it gets Chris noticed.
I'm not sure whether it is true that all publicity is good publicity, but an interview that basically tells the watching world 1) "Your party is tiny", and 2) "Your blog is nasty and tells untruths", is probably not the best publicity we could have wished for.
