Reports From Those With Their Arse In The Grass

I take it as read that the Generals view is rather sanitised and sexed up for public consumption.

These field reports from junior officers with their arse in grass, show that the US military has not progressed beyond 'body count' as a war aim.

The problem with Afghanistan is that one is not trying to restore central government order, but introduce it.

I would prefer we legalise drugs and in the process the UK becomes a big, reliable customer for the country and so, through the calming power of trade, will encourage those in Afghanistan to not wish to harbour forces hostile to their customers.
